Twitter has shared the list of top tweet of the year 2021 in India. The microblogging site has revealed the list of most-liked tweets, most-retweeted and top tweets in various categories including government, sports, entertainment etc.
Cricketer Virat Kohli Tweet announcing the birth of his daughter was the most liked tweet of 2021, says the annual India trends released by micro-blogging platform Twitter. Kohli had topped the list last year too, with his tweet announcing wife Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy.
The post was liked 539.4 K times by the Twitteratti.
Kohli had announced the birth of his daughter on January 11, 2021. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives,” Kohli had tweeted on January 11 this year.
Meanwhile, Australia Test captain Cummins’s tweet during the first phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, earned the most retweets in India this year.
