The criticism towards Babar Azam and his squad is not for losing but for rather losing in such a shameful way. It is like they don’t know how to play cricket and crumble with a tiny bit of pressure.
Legendary Pakistani skipper Wasim Akram was furious over his team’s performance. He was visibly angry on national television and demanded the whole team be changed and was fed up with the current squad.
‘Make Them Sit At Home’
The legendary bowler stated “They have been playing cricket for 10 years, and I can’t teach them. Rizwan has no game awareness. He should have known that Bumrah was given the ball to take wickets and that the wise thing would have been to play his deliveries cautiously. But Rizwan went for a big shot and lost his wicket.
Pakistani players think that if they don’t perform well, the coaches will be sacked, and nothing will happen to them. It is time to keep the coaches and change the entire team,” he added.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Negative Dressing Room
Akram also commented on the negative vibes in the Pakistan dressing room. He made a shocking revelation that few players do not speak to each other due to personal reasons.
He was not worried that he was speaking it on national television. Akram stated that he does not care if this goes viral, but the country needs to know. “There are players who don’t want to talk to each other. This is international cricket, and you play for your country. Make these players sit at home,” he said.
