Champions Trophy 2025

BCCI secretary Jay Shah was confident about the future of Indian team and predicted the return of domination era of the Blues.

Champions Trophy 2025 is less than a year away and the Indian team and fans desperately want that trophy. After failing to win the 2023 ODI World Cup, this is the trophy that the Blues desire.

This trophy is also special as it was the last major trophy India won before the recent T20i World Cup win. Back in 2013, the Indian team was experiencing a golden period and the current roster would like that back.

During the CEAT Awards, BCCI secretary Jay Shah showed confidence and stated that this was the start of domination by India. He promised the fans that India will win the upcoming major tournaments and will dominate world cricket.

‘Will Hoist Our Flag’

On being asked about What’s next for Indian cricket, the BCCI secretary stated, “I would like to remind everyone what I said before the T20 World Cup, that Rohit Sharma will plant the Indian flag at Barbados and he did.

When you have 1.4 billion people’s blessings, I can say we will do the same in the (2025) Champions Trophy, World Test Championship final, and Women’s T20 World Cup.”

He dedicated his award for ‘excellence in sports administration’  to all the women players, our 2023 ODI runners-up team, and the 2024 T20 World Cup team. Shah is also rumored to be the new ICC President and will start his tenure from December.

Champions Trophy 2025: Out Of Pakistan?

Earlier this week, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that certain matches might shift to different locations out of Pakistan due to security issues.

He also added that every stadium in Pakistan needs serious renovation if they want to host an international tournament. But he was confident that with the help of FWO, they would be able to do that in time.
