Women’s Asia Cup 2022: India women team registers a massive 104 run win against the UAE. India women chose to bat first against UAE on Tuesday at Sylhet, posting a difficult score of 178/5 in 20 overs. However, in the second inning UAE Women could manage to make just 74 runs after losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.
Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma teamed up to create a 129-run stand for the third wicket after losing three fast wickets in the Powerplay. With an undefeated 75 from 45 balls, Jemimah was the highest scorer of the match. With the help of two sixes and five boundaries, Deepti Sharma struck 64 off 49 balls.
Renuka Singh bowled an economical spell of just 12 runs from four overs, while Rajeshwari Gayakwad gave 20 runs in three overs whilst taking two wickets.

Earlier, India chose to bat after winning the toss. The Women in Blue made a number of lineup adjustments. Smriti Mandhana took over as captain after regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took a rest.
