WPL 2023 Final: Women’s Premier League concluded today with Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians lifting the trophy after defeating Delhi Capitals by seven wickets. The final match was played at Brabourne Stadium. Mumbai Indians chased down the relatively easy target of 132 runs with 3 balls to spare. The video of their celebration has now gone viral over social media.

Mumbai Indians erupt in joy after WPL 2023 Final victory
As soon as Nat Sciver Brunt hit the winning runs, the camp erupted in joy. Every player and support staff rushed to the ground hugging each other and especially Sciver who played a match-winning knock of 60* from 55 balls. Players were jumping and shouting in joy while Harmanpreet Kaur and Jhulan Goswami were also seen in tears.
The fireworks lit the stadium instantly. Just five runs were required in the final over, and after 1 & 2 runs respectively on the first two balls, Sciver hit the third ball for boundary, giving Mumbai Indians the joy of lifting the trophy in the first ever edition itself.
Another video also surfaced that showed the players of Mumbai Indians’ men giving up standing ovation to the team. Star players from Mumbai Indians such as Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jofra Archer, and Bumrah were present in the stadium along with Sachin Tendulkar. The historic moment was truly a memorable one for the whole MI team, as evident in the video.

The tournament was a huge stepping stone in Women’s cricket. It began on 4th of March and concluded today successfully with several thrilling and exciting matches. Now, the IPL will begin on the 31st of March with the first match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
