WPL 2023: Five teams will battle it out to be crowned the winners of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), which will begin on March 4 and go through March 26 in Mumbai. The squads are prepared to show their abilities thanks to the addition of players from the home and foreign circuits by the Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz.

The Indian opener smashed her career-best T20I score of 87 against Ireland to help her side reach the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup in South Africa. Although India eventually lost to Australia in the semifinals, Mandhana’s performance was a standout.
2. Harmanpreet Kaur
The Indian skipper is a dependable performer for her squad thanks to her aggressive batting and superb off-spin. She is now a formidable opponent who can completely change the course of a game in a matter of overs thanks to her consistent performances. 4. Sophie Ecclestone
A veteran in the T20 format, the slow left-arm orthodox spinner from England is currently the number one ranked bowler in the world. Ecclestone has been in excellent form in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup, where she played a vital role in England’s campaign until they lost to South Africa in the semifinals. With her impressive spin bowling, she can be a formidable threat on the spin-friendly pitches of India. Additionally, she can also lend support with the bat lower down the order.
5. Deepti Sharma
Deepti Sharma, a distinguished all-rounder in women’s cricket, boasts over 150 international appearances across formats. The Indian cricketer’s versatility is an asset to the team, making valuable contributions with both bat and ball. As a lower-middle-order batter, she consistently scores runs.She has played two Tests, scoring 152 runs and taking five wickets. In 80 ODIs, she has amassed 1,891 runs and claimed 91 wickets. In T20Is, Deepti has earned 86 caps with 898 runs and 95 wickets to her name. Moreover, her captaincy skills were on display in the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022, where she led Velocity to the final.
