Ramiz Raja: Pakistan team has been in a slump before the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. They have not looked dominating at all and even lost the series against England without winning a single match.
They have looked lackluster and not a single good individual performance came out of these matches for Pakistan. It was a brutal loss ahead of the biggest ICC tournament that this team will play.
Earlier, they also struggled against Ireland and it was shameful. They lost their first match and had to depend on the individual brilliance of Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman to get out of trouble.
Ramiz Raja Angry
Former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja was fuming after the series loss against England. He slammed the Pakistan board and voiced his concerns regarding the future of the team. He even questioned PCB’s complete white-ball setup.
“They should stop experimenting with the team. Go into a game with a proper combination. You need to get out of the phobia of strike rate because you don’t have that kind of player. Aapne is team ka satyanash kar diya hai (You have completely made a cock-up of this team),” Ramiz said on his YouTube channel.
Slammed Ayub
That is not all, Ramiz has been quite vocal about Saim Ayub and has criticized him constantly. He is not impressed with his batting and has always supported Babar Azam to open the innings alongside Rizwan.
He stated “You have ruined the team by breaking the opening pair. The role of the middle order is not defined. You have put all-rounders in the middle and two wicket-keepers are playing. You are changing the fast bowlers. Your spinners don’t spin the ball and don’t have the confidence. You put Imad Wasim out of the playing XI. There is no sideways movement and you have completely dismantled the team just before the T20 World Cup.”
