Morocco rewrites the records

As a result of this triumph, Morocco was able to make history. It has become the first ever African team to reach the semi-finals. A team had previously advanced to the quarterfinals, including Cameroon, Senegal, and Ghana, but none had advanced to the semifinals. Only twice, in 1966 and 2006, did Portugal’s team manage to finish in the top four. This time, they once more lost their chance to win the World Cup.
