Yuvraj Singh: Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh became the target of social media trolls after a factual blunder in a tweet congratulating Cristiano Ronaldo. The former all-rounder from India, who has won two World Cups and has been tweeting frequently about his favourite footballers, praised Ronaldo for scoring the record 700th club goal in a Premier League game against Everton.

However, Yuvraj’s word choice was the reason he was subjected to unending trolling on social media. “King is back! Form is transient; class is eternal. Welcome to 700 club number seven, GOAT, legend” Yuvraj tweeted.

Yuvraj’s “welcome to 700 club” remark was the root of all the trolls. Actually, on Sunday, Ronaldo became the first player in football history to reach the milestone. The mistake in Yuvraj’s message was quickly discovered by Twitter users, who then trolled him. Some users also clarified how to utilise the phrase “welcome to the club” appropriately.
