In Bihar’s Sasaram town, five people got injured in a bomb blast after a violence occurred on Saturday evening in the state. All five injured have been rushed to a hospital. According to official forensic team reached immediately to the spot.
Dharmendra Kumar, Sasaram DM said, “There was a bomb blast in Sasaram. Injured people were referred to BHU hospital. We’re investigating all the angles right now.”
“The cause of the blast is still not known,” he said.
Information about the bomb blast which erupted in Sasaram of Rohtas was received after which the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team reached the spot to investigate the matter, said the Bihar Police.
“The blast was reported at a shanty and a scooty has been recovered from the area. Prima facie it does not appear to be a communal incident,” the police said.
On Saturday, the police team, Special Task Force (STF), and Para Military forces marched through Sasaram.
Three people shot
As two groups clashed in two different parts of the state on Saturday, three people were shot and injured, according to locals, and communal tensions in Bihar once more increased.
According to the people of the respective localities, the clashes took place in the Paharpur area in Bihar Sharif and the Khasganj area in the Sohsarai police station area.
“During the clashes in the Paharpur area, two persons suffered bullet injuries, and were admitted to the hospital for treatment,” Dr Mahendra Kumar from Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital told ANI.
Disputes were reported earlier on March 31 at Rohtas’ Sasaram and Nalanda’s Biharsharif, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was supposed to be.

Shah’s trip to Sasaram in the Rohtas region of Bihar has been postponed as a result of the implementation of Section 144 in response to disturbances in the district.
The Bihar police report that a total of 45 persons have been arrested thus far in connection to the clashes between factions that occurred during Ram Navami celebrations in some areas of the state. This number includes 18 in connection to the incident that took place in Sasaram.
The officials from Bihar appealed to the public to not pay attention to rumours. “The situation is peaceful and Section 144 has been imposed here,” they added.
