AAP MP Raghav Chadha files for suspension of business notice in parliament to discuss Manipur violence

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha has filed for suspension of business notice in Parliament to discuss the Manipur issue. In a letter to the Rajya Sabha chairman, the AAP leader demanded the house to suspend Zero Hour and relevant rules relating to Question Hour and other business of the day to discuss the violence in Manipur. 

Raghav Chadha writes to Rajya Sabha chairman 

AAP MP Raghav Chadha on Friday wrote to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, seeking suspension of zero hours and other business of the day to ‘discuss the breakdown of law and order in the State of Manipur due to the failure of Central and State Government’. 

“I hereby give notice under Rule 267 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) of my intention to move the following motion of suspension of business listed for 28th July, 2023,” he said. 

“That this House do suspend Zero Hour and relevant rules relating to Question Hour and other business of the day to discuss the violence in Manipur which has resulted in the loss of precious lives in Manipur due to failure and incompetence of state and central governments,” he further added.

Recently, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over their derogatory remarks. He also condemned PM Modi to compare the name INDIA with that of terrorist orgnisations and coloniser, adding such behaviour does not suit a person commanding the top post of the nation. 

“Why does the Prime Minister hate India so much?” He asked. 

Meanwhile, Raghav Chadha comment that PM Modi has begun to detest the word India, but what about Start Up India, Digital India, Make in India, and Khelo India?
