He further emphasised that in five cities in Uttar Pradesh—Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida—metro rail services are available to the general people. Two Routes, 29.4 Km Each, to Revolutionize Commute

The Agra Metro Rail Project consists of two routes, each of 29.4 kilometres in length. The first corridor, which is 13.7 km long and comprises six elevated and seven underground stations, extends from Taj East Gate to Sikandra. The second corridor is 15.7 km long and connects Kalindi Vihar to Agra Cantt. There are 14 metro stations along the elevated corridor. The state government wants to give the people of Agra access to a first-rate metro service as well as contemporary and effective transit options. All metro trains include regenerative braking systems, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 35%. Additionally, the trains have carbon dioxide-based sensors that aid in energy conservation. The Automatic Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) mode will be used to run the trains, guaranteeing absolutely safe train operations. MD Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) Sushil Kumar said, “UPMRC has always executed metro projects timely and ahead of schedule. This time as well we will achieve the same milestone, by delivering a world-class metro to the people of Agra ahead of the set timeline.”  “The low-speed trials of the metro were already being carried out in the Agra Metro Depot. Now, the high-speed trials will commence on the 3-km-long elevated viaduct comprising three elevated stations, which is a part of the 6-km-long priority stretch (on the first corridor) that runs from Taj East Gate Metro Station to Jama Masjid Metro Station,” he added.
