Arvind Kejriwal: In his first response to the Swati Maliwal case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has criticized the BJP government, accusing it of systematically targeting members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for arrest. Without naming the Rajya Sabha MP involved, Kejriwal highlighted the recent arrest of his personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar, as part of this alleged campaign.

In a defiant stance, Kejriwal declared that the AAP could not be “crushed.” He announced that he, along with all senior AAP leaders, would visit the BJP headquarters in Delhi at noon on Sunday, challenging the ruling party to arrest them all at once if they wished.
In a video message on Saturday, Kejriwal said, “You are seeing how these people have been after the Aam Aadmi Party. One after the other, they have been putting our leaders in jail. They jailed me, (former deputy chief minister) Manish Sisodia, (former minister) Satyendar Jain, (Rajya Sabha MP) Sanjay Singh, and now they have arrested my personal assistant today.”
The AAP chief, currently out on interim bail until June 2 to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, claimed that the BJP intends to arrest Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who recently returned from London after eye surgery and met with Kejriwal earlier in the day. He also suggested that Delhi Ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi are likely to be targeted next.
