Arvind Kejriwal: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal recently launched a fierce attack on the BJP, criticizing the party’s performance in Haryana as suggested by exit polls.Speaking at AAP’s Janta ki Adalat, Kejriwal highlighted the failures of “double-engine government.” He claimed that this approach has only led to rising prices, joblessness, and widespread corruption.
Arvind Kejriwal Criticises BJP’s Governance
Kejriwal stated, “The BJP-led double-engine government is nearing its end in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.” He pointed out that this concept of a double-engine government has failed across the country. He emphasized that one engine faltered back in June when the BJP managed only 240 seats, and he predicted that the second engine would fail in Maharashtra, and Jharkhand as well.
Kejriwal believes that people are now aware that the term “double-engine” has become synonymous with inflation and unemployment. As elections approach, he warned that the BJP would again promote this idea. He urged voters to question the effectiveness of this government, especially given the ten years the BJP has spent in power without significant achievements. “People don’t even want BJP leaders entering their villages,” he stated.
Arvind Kejriwal Highlights Failures in Uttar Pradesh
Kejriwal didn’t hold back when discussing the BJP’s governance in Uttar Pradesh. He noted that despite having a double-engine government there for seven years, the party only secured half the seats in the recent elections. He further criticized the situation in Manipur, where, according to him, the state has been in turmoil for the past two years. “The country is tired of this double-engine system. All it leads to is loot and corruption,” he added.
Challenging BJP’s Campaign Promises
With the elections approaching, Arvind Kejriwal urged voters to challenge the BJP’s campaign promises. He remarked, “They will come to your homes, claiming they can do everything I have done. But if that’s true, then why do we need them? They’ve ruled 22 states, yet we have transformed education in Delhi.” He posed a critical question: “In which state have they improved schools?” He pointed out that even in Gujarat, where the BJP has been in power for over a decade, not a single school is in good condition.
