Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has coined a new phrase ‘fertilizer jihad’. CM Sarma, who arrived at a program for the development and implementation of natural farming in Guwahati, said that we have resolved to fight against ‘fertilizer jihad’ during our election campaign. He said that we should use natural fertilizers, because excessive use of fertilizers is harmful for us.
So we won’t need urea, phosphate
During the program, he said that during several meetings in the last one year, PM Narendra Modi has encouraged organic farming in Assam. Said that we have checked, the land and nature of our state is very good for crops. If we learn to use it, we will not need fertilizers like urea, phosphate and nitrogen.
CM Sarma said that especially in Assam when we started our government. At that time we said that various food products, which use unauthorized fertilizers, harm people. Due to this, many diseases of heart and kidney are increasing.
Congress bid – it is wrong to target a particular community
On the other hand, Assam Pradesh Congress President Bhupen Bora has taunted CM Himanta Biswa Sarma about the word ‘fertilizer jihad’. He has said that whenever any problem comes in front of the Chief Minister, he uses the technique of communal politics to avoid it. Everyone in Assam knows that there is a big tussle going on in the state BJP.
Bhupen Bora said that he is trying to target a particular community. Said that I have never seen the government taking steps against fertilizers or to control them. If the government wants to control, they should do it for the entire state. Should not target any particular community.
