Atiq Ahmad, a gangster-turned-politician, was killed in Prayagraj on Saturday. His brother Ashraf has also died in the accident. This comes two days after his son Asad died in an encounter. The shooting allegedly occurred inside the Prayagraj Dhoomanganj Police Station. As per PTI, two to three persons started shooting at them. The funeral for Atiq Ahmad’s son Asad Ahamd was held on Saturday without him after he was denied permission to attend. The three attackers have been identified as Sunny, Lovelesh and Arun. All three have been arrested.

In a video that is now going viral, both Atiq Ahmad and Ashraf Ahmad were shot dead. The brothers soon fell to the ground. The attacker was seen firing more bullets until police interrupted.
Alert in Prayagaraj
An alert has been sounded in Prayagraj post the killing of Atiq and his brother. A high-level meeting is currently underway at UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s residence in Lucknow. The BJP has demanded a thorough probe into the murder of the brothers.
