AAP Leader Saurabh Bharadwaj Criticises BJP’s Governance

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj did not hold back in his criticism of the BJP-led government in Maharashtra. He linked the incident to a larger issue of lawlessness in both Mumbai and Delhi, blaming the central and state governments for their failure to prioritise governance. In his statement, Bharadwaj said, “There’s BJP government in Mumbai, and you can see the law and order situation… the government spends all its time in politics. We don’t know if action will be taken or not, but has it happened that so many gangsters have become active in Delhi and Mumbai? Is the government encouraging them?”

Ajit Pawar Assures Swift Action

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar expressed his disbelief over the incident, stating, “I cannot believe the incident which occurred yesterday in Mumbai.” He confirmed that two suspects have been arrested, and five police teams have been dispatched to investigate further. Pawar assured the public that the government is closely monitoring the situation, adding, “Who gave the contract (for murder) and who is behind all this, I believe it will be known in 2-3 days.”

Opposition Calls for Home Minister’s Resignation

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticised Maharashtra’s law and order situation, blaming the government for allowing such crimes to happen. Raut demanded the resignation of the state Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis, calling his governance a “complete failure.” Raut remarked, “He was provided with state security, and he was murdered. What does it mean? It is a failure of the CM… Murders are happening anytime in broad daylight.”

Tejashwi Yadav Raises Alarm Over Safety

Former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav expressed his deep concern over the murder, calling it a “surprising” incident in a city like Mumbai. Yadav warned that if such crimes can happen in a metropolitan city, it indicates that no one is truly safe. He urged state governments across India to reassess their law and order situations.

Tarun Chugh Appeals for No Politics on the Incident

BJP’s National General Secretary Tarun Chugh condemned the incident, affirming that investigations were already underway. He stressed that political leaders should avoid using this tragedy for political gain, stating, “Culprits won’t be spared… but I appeal, don’t do politics on this. Defaming such situations, spreading fear for the sake of political benefits is unfortunate.”

Chhagan Bhujbal Calls for a Thorough Investigation

Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal echoed the sentiments of grief and called for the police to act swiftly. Bhujbal expressed confidence in the investigation, stating, “There is no political angle to it, I have zero doubts regarding that. The police should take strict action as soon as possible.”
