Bihar News: In the Vaishali district of Bihar, a significant bank robbery has occurred. On Tuesday, thieves stole Rs 1.16 crore from an Axis Bank branch in Lalganj, Vaishali district. On two bikes, five robbers riding in half-pants approached. They stole a large amount of money from the bank at 11.30 am and then left. The matter is being looked into by the police.
Police Rush to Scene after Vaishali Bank Robbery
There was a commotion at the police department as soon as the news of the robbery occurrence was received. DSP and other police officials arrived at the bank branch. By closing the gate, everyone is being questioned. The CCTV footage is being examined by the police as well. The event happened in the Tinpulwa Chowk, Lalganj, branch of Axis Bank.
A String of Incidents Continues Unabated
Bihar has seen a string of bank robberies that shows no signs of slowing. In the last months, many of these occurrences have occurred in various areas. On July 18, thieves stole 14 lakh rupees from the Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank in Asthawan, Nalanda, and attacked a client who objected. Earlier, a North Bihar Gramin Bank branch was burglarized in Muzaffarpur district for roughly Rs 9.5 lakh.
