Bihar News: Vikassheel Insaan Party leader Mukesh Sahani’s Father was brutally murdered at his family home in Darbhanga district, Bihar. This morning, the disfigured body of Jitan Sahani, the father of Mukesh Sahani , was found lying on the bed. According to Jagannath Reddy, a senior police officer, a police team is present at the Sahanis’ residence; he has confirmed the occurrence. The terrifying event caused terror among the local populace.
Initial Investigation and Police Response
Mukesh Sahani is the head of the Vikassheel Insaan Party, a party having kachcha support from the OBC community and an Ex-Minister in the Bihar Government. VIP, at present, is part of the opposition alliance INDIA Oppn along with Congress and RJD.
Preliminary inquiries reveal that senior police officer Manish Chandra Chaudhary told IANS that Jitan Sahani was killed when he resisted after somebody entered their house with the intention of robbing them. A Special Investigation Team consisting of three members has been established to look into the horrifying crime, according to Senior Officer Reddy.
Opposition RJD Condemns Nitish Kumar Administration
In response to Jitan Sahani’s murder at home, the main opposition RJD has sharply criticized the Nitish Kumar administration. According to RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav, the episode has taken the state by surprise. “What is happening in Bihar? Not a day goes by without news of a murder. A mindless government is in power. The system has collapsed,” he said. “May God grant Mukesh Sahani strength to bear this grief.”
BJP leader and deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary called the act “unfortunate”.”I want to assure on the behalf of the state government that strict action would be taken. Anyone guilty would be put behind bars. The government stands firmly with Mukesh Sahani ji’s family,” he said.
Ongoing Police Investigation
A probe is in progress, senior police personnel are present at the crime scene, according to Neeraj Kumar of the ruling JDU, who spoke with IANS. “The culprits won’t be spared. Efforts are underway to locate them and bring them to justice.” Union Minister and leader of the LJP (Ramvilas), Chirag Paswan, denounced the killing of Jitan Sahani. “The criminals will be identified at the earliest and action will be taken. My condolences for Mukesh Sahani ji and his family,” he said.
