With a substantial 5,534 vacancies for trained special teachers in Classes 1 to 5 and an additional 1,745 posts for Classes 6 to 8, the recruitment drive aims to address the growing demand for skilled educators. Comprehensive Examination Structure and Syllabus
BSSTET 2023 will consist of two papers – Paper 1 for eligibility as a special school teacher for Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8. The examination will be based on the syllabus of Classes 1 to 8 in state government schools. The question paper will comprise multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 150 marks. Notably, there will be no negative marking, ensuring a fair assessment of candidates. The exam duration is set at 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Passing Marks and Exam Fee Details
Candidates must achieve the following passing marks based on their respective categories:
- General: 50% marks
- Backward Class: 45.5% marks
- Extremely Backward Class: 42.5% marks
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 40% marks
- Person with Disability: 40% marks
- Woman: 40% marks
Moreover, the exam fee structure varies for different categories:
- General Class/Economically Weaker General Class/Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class:
- Paper 1 or Paper 2: Rs 960
- Both Paper 1 and Paper 2: Rs 1,440
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disability:
- Paper 1 or Paper 2: Rs 760
- Both Paper 1 and Paper 2: Rs 1,140
