TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu took the oath of office as Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister on June 12 at Kesarapalli IT Park in Gannavaram Mandal. Actor and leader of the Janasena Party Pawan Kalyan took oath of office alongside him as a minister in Naidu’s cabinet. Renowned actor Rajinikanth, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the occasion.

A Momentous Swearing-In Ceremony

A touching moment occurred during the swearing-in ceremony when Naidu hugged PM Modi on stage following his oath. Amit Shah, Rajinikanth, and Nitin Gadkari were among the luminaries who attended the high-profile gathering, underscoring the importance of this political breakthrough. Naidu’s government will consist of 21 TDP ministers, 3 Janasena Party ministers, and 1 BJP minister, according to the TDP’s official list.

Naidu’s Fourth Term as Chief Minister

Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time in his career, and for the second time after the state’s 2014 split. Naidu took over as Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister in 1995 and remained in that role until 2004. He returned to power in the newly bifurcated state in 2014 and served until 2019.

A Historic Election Victory

Naidu led the TDP-BJP-Janasena National Democratic Alliance to a sweeping victory in both the Assembly and parliamentary elections. This landslide victory is a testament to his enduring influence and leadership in Andhra Pradesh politics.

Diverse and Inclusive Cabinet

The TDP, Janasena Party, and BJP are represented in Naidu’s new cabinet, which is a reflection of a strategic partnership. By taking into account the interests and goals of different sections of the state’s population, this diversified representation seeks to guarantee an inclusive and broad-based approach to government.
