Haryana Violence: Authorities imposed a curfew on Tuesday in Haryana’s Nuh district, where fighting broke out after an effort to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad march, leaving three people dead and dozens others injured. According to Anil Vij, the Haryana Home Minister, curfew has been imposed in the Nuh district. The BJP district president Gargi Kakkar led the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra, which the Vishwa Hindu Parishad had planned, off from Gurugram’s Civil Lines on Monday. Along with the yatra, a police contingent was deployed. Anil Vij, the home minister for Haryana, reported that more forces from adjacent districts were sent to Nuh. He further stated that helicopters are being used to send forces. Anil Vij reported that police evacuated roughly 2,500 men, women, and children who had sought refuge at a Shiv temple in Nuh. Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, made a plea for tranquilly and urged the populace to uphold the “Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek” (Haryanvis are one) ethos.
Education Disrupted and Internet Blocked
All schools and institutions in Gurugram and Faridabad will be closed on Tuesday, August 1 as a result of the violent incidents. In Gurugram and Nuh, prohibitive orders pursuant to Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) were issued. According to the Haryana government, mobile internet connections have been blocked in Nuh district until Wednesday, August 2, in order to reduce the “intense communal tension”. According to District Information & Public Relations Officer, Faridabad, “All educational institutions including schools, colleges, and coaching centres in Faridabad district will remain closed today, August 1.” “All educational institutions including schools, colleges, and coaching centers in Gurugram district will remain closed on Tuesday. We urge all educational institutions to strictly adhere to these orders,” the Gurugram District Magistrate said in a tweet on Monday. Police reportedly evacuated some 2,500 people from a Shiva temple in Nuh, according to Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij. It appears that both worshippers and others who had sought refuge there during the fighting were among them.
Superintendent of Police Reports Casualties and Deployment of Special Forces
Narendra Bijarniyan, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bhiwani and the person in charge of SP Nuh, spoke with India Today. According to the police officer who spoke to India Today, three individuals have died and about 60 people, including numerous officers, have been hurt in the violence. “Para military force and Haryana STF have been deployed at the site. The DGP himself is monitoring the situation,” the official said. According to the police spokesman, things are currently under control. Anil Vij, the home minister for Haryana, pleaded with the populace to keep the state peaceful. The minister reported that more soldiers from nearby districts were sent to Nuh by the state administration. He further stated that helicopters are being used to send forces. The Cyber Police Station of Nuh was attacked and looted. Criminals stole a bus, then used it to smash through the police station’s wall. There have been three police car fires. According to police sources, the criminals targeted the Cyber Police Station expressly because of their recent crackdown on online bullies. Approximately 1,000 individuals attacked the station, according to a policeman at the cybercrime station. Near Nand village in Nuh district, some individuals threw stones at a rally that was being held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers. Conflicts erupted following allegations of cow vigilantes and Bhiwani killings case suspect Monu Manesar visiting Mewat, which led to the torching of vehicles and the throwing of stones. In the FIR filed in connection with the deaths of Nasir and Junaid in February of this year, Monu Manesar’s name was mentioned. Their burned remains were discovered in a Bolero in the Haryana district of Bhiwani.
