With just a few days remaining for the first phase of voting in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all political parties are in action mode. Amidst this, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in a road show in Gujarat, where he launched a scathing attack on the BJP. During the road show, Mann also mentioned the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and accused the BJP.
Mann Participates in AAP’s Bhavnagar Roadshow
Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Mann joined the AAP candidate Umesh Makwana in filing his nomination from the Bhavnagar Lok Sabha constituency. Mann expressed his gratitude to the people of Gujarat, stating that their overwhelming support in the previous assembly elections had helped the AAP emerge as a national party.
Kejriwal’s Arrest Draws Tears from Mann
During the roadshow, Mann became visibly emotional while discussing the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. He condemned the “dictatorial government’s attitude” towards the AAP leader, stating that Kejriwal was being treated like a “dangerous criminal” in jail. Bhagwant Mann questioned whether it was a crime to provide essential services like good hospitals, excellent schools, free bus rides, and free electricity to the people.
AAP Unveils Star Campaigners for Gujarat
The Aam Aadmi Party has released a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat. The list includes prominent AAP leaders such as Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Manish Sisodia, and Satendra Jain, as well as Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal.
