Reiterating their commitment to providing quality medical facilities to people free of cost, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will dedicate 80 more Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of the state today (Friday) at Ludhiana.
80 new mohalla clinics in Punjab
Divulging the details, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that with this 580 Aam Aadmi Clinics will be operational in the state to offer free healthcare services to people. Pertinently, in first phase 100 clinics were dedicated followed by 404 in the second phase and now 80 clinics will be dedicated in service of the state. Aam Aadmi clinics are the dream project of the Chief Minister, who is according top priority to them for the welfare of the people and these clinics have already proved to be a cornerstone in imparting quality health services to people.
Clinics helpful in preparing database of patients
Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, these clinics are providing world-class treatment and diagnostic facilities to people free of cost. So far 25.63 lakh patients from across the state have benefitted from these Aam Aadmi clinics through their visits. Similarly, a total of 41 types of diagnostics tests are being provided at these clinics free of cost and till April 30, 1.78 lakh patients have undergone these tests.
Above all these clinics have helped the government in preparing a database for checking the various diseases prevalent in the state and combating them effectively. Total of 80 drugs are being provided free of cost to the patients at these clinics. The most commonly used drugs are for hypertension, diabetes, Skin ailments, Seasonal outbreaks like viral fever, and others, added the spokesperson.
