Karnataka: According to sources, the swearing-in ceremony for the remaining 24 ministers in the Karnataka cabinet would most likely take place on May 27. After Congress leader Siddaramaiah took the oath of office as chief minister of Karnataka on May 20 with state party chairman DK Shivakumar as his deputy, ten out of the 34 ministerial positions in the Karnataka government have been filled.
24 Ministerial Positions Yet to Be Disclosed
Eight additional Congressmen were sworn in as Cabinet members alongside Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. G Parameshwara, KJ George, K H Muniyapa, Satish Jarkiholi, Zameer Ahmed, Ramalinga Reddy, Priyank Kharge, and MB Patil were among the MLAs sworn in as Cabinet ministers. Nobody has publicly stated who will hold the remaining 24 ministerial positions as of yet.

Ministers Yet to Receive Assignments in Karnataka Cabinet
None of the newly appointed ministers have yet received portfolio assignments. According to sources, CM Siddaramaiah won’t distribute ministries till the Cabinet has been expanded. In the 2023 Karnataka Assembly election, the Congress triumphed handily, taking 135 of the 224 seats, and displacing the BJP from office. With 66 seats, the BJP came in a distant second, and the JD(S), which had hoped to be the deciding factor, came in last with only 19 seats.
