Covid-19: Masks mandatory in public places in Noida in fresh set of guidelines, check out

With the unprecedented surge in daily Covid-19 cases, Gautam Buddh Nagar Health has issued a number of guidelines including practicing social distancing and use of face masks at offices, schools, colleges, shopping malls, and hospitals, among other public places. In the last 24 hours, 84 new Covid cases were reported in Noida, bringing the active cases to 568. 

India Covid cases:

India recorded 9,111 new coronavirus infections, pushing the active cases toll to 60,313, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday. With 27 more people succumbing to the virus, the total death toll in the country has climbed to 5,31,141.

The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.47 crore (4,48,27,226). The daily positivity was recorded at 8.40 percent and the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 4.94 percent.

Meanwhile, the number of people who recovered from the disease surged to 4,42,35,772 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 percent.

Covid guidelines for workplaces in Noida

The officials have suggested the use of santisers, proper cleaning of offices, and thermal temperature scan at office entrances. For those who have shown signs of Covid, cough, fever, and flu, work from home should be recommended.

Masks mandatory in public places

Masks have been made mandatory in public places. Practising social distancing and following Covid appropriate behaviour is recommended. schools, colleges, bus stands, depots, railway stations, cinema halls, shopping malls, and cafeterias are places where Covid protocols must be followed. 

Also, it recommended that people refrain from unnecessary physical contact, such as shaking hands or hugging others, and maintain cleanliness around them.

“If anyone in your contact is a COVID positive person, inform about them to the Integrated Covid Command and Control Centre at 1800-419-2211,” the CMO said in the guidelines.
