Dehradun News: After battling with the Rains, the city is now struggling with the rise in Dengue cases. Over 420 Dengue cases have been diagnosed so far, out of which around 300 patients have recovered. There has been a case of one death last week. The other patient who succumbed to the disease was from Nanital. After witnessing the rise in the Dengue cases, the Health Secretary has asked all the Hospitals to follow all the Precautions inside and outside the Health Centers. He has also asked staff to maintain sanitation and keep ample stock of the medicines and other important Medical necessities.
Dengue cases rise after every Monsoon
The city recorded the maximum dengue cases this week with a rise in 124 cases. The areas like Patel Nagar, Kargi, GMS Road, Ajabpur Kala, Dharampur, Race Course and banjarawal have registered almost dozens of cases. Some cases have been registered from Nanital also, like Golapur, Daharia and Udham Singh Nagar area. The Dengue cases witness a rise during every Monsoon every year.
Precautions to be followed without Miss
In most of the cases Hospitalization is not needed, but patients are always advised to visit the doctors if they feel unwell or their Platelet level dips. Apart from Dengue, many cases of Malaria has also been reported. The doctors have asked all to follow precautions like not keeping stagnant water in the houses, use Anti-Mosquito Sprays in the house, do not send the child to school if they have fever or cold and cough.
