Dehradun News: The life of the residents living near Doon’s Rajpur area has become a mess due to the widespread encroachment in the area. The residents have tried to raise their issue in front of the authorities many times, but every time their complaint fell on deaf ears. Many illegal structures and drains have been built on the Government land. Many areas suffer Water-logging due to the issue of drains. This will also result in the rise of dengue cases as it is also on the rise now a days.
‘Authorities should look into the matter soon’
The DMC of the area said that the Property Dealers are giving flats to the people to stay without any proper verification. A man was given a flat on rent recently who was out on bail in a rape case. This will result in a serious implication. The authorities need to take serious action regarding this.
‘We are trying to resolve the Problems soon’
There are around 170 non-functional street lights in the area. After registering multiple complaints, the authorities have only rectified four to five street lights. The area councilor also said that we are looking after each and every complaint and will try to work on the situation. Maintenance work is being carried out all over the city.
