Dehradun News: After witnessing surge in dengue cases , the education department has decided to take action against all the schools which are not adhering to the guidelines issued by the Health Department. District administration announced guidelines for all schools in July. The dengue cases in the city saw hike during monsoon. School authorities were asked to be more vigilant as children are prone to fall victims of such diseases.
Over 20 Schools were sent Notices
Over 20 schools have been shortlisted for not following the protocols sent by the Education Department. Schools have been asked to write an explanation. The children were asked to wear full sleeves shirt, tie mosquito bands in hands, use anti mosquito repellants, and use fogging in the campus and playground areas. It was found that these schools were not obeying to any of the guidelines.

Health Experts advise people to follow precautions, people must follow precautions like not keeping stagnant water in the houses, use Anti-Mosquito Sprays in the house, do not send the child to school if they have fever or cold and cough.
