Hindon Civil Terminal Set to Regain Its Vibrancy With FlyBig’s New Route
With the addition of FlyBig’s new route, the Hindon Civil Terminal, which has seen little flight activity since Star Air discontinued its Karnataka service on January 25, is expected to resume normal operations. The terminal has been rather calm, but from September 8 to 10, it will momentarily become busy as a few flights transporting foreign participants to the G20 conference in Delhi are anticipated to land at the Indian Air Force (IAF) base before continuing to the civil terminal for departures. The director of the Hindon Civil Terminal, Saraswathi Venkat, disclosed that FlyBig Airlines had informed them of their intention to start operating flights on the Dehradun-Hindon-Ludhiana route on September 1. Despite the fact that the airline has listed the route since last Friday, there are currently no flights until September 5. The only seats still available are for a round-trip flight from Dehradun to Ludhiana on September 6 that also includes a 20-minute stop at the Hindon terminal.

FlyBig to Expand Services with New Route to Bhatinda Starting September 15
The return journey is scheduled to leave Ludhiana at 11:10 and arrive at the Hindon terminal at 12:35. The plane will then depart from Ghaziabad at 12:55 and arrive in Dehradun at 1:50, according to the FlyBig website. Venkat also provided details on FlyBig’s plans to start service on a fresh route to Bhatinda on September 15. The 18-seater aircraft designated for this service will take off from the Hindon Civil Terminal. There are now 11 itineraries that FlyBig offers flights on, with stops in places like Kolkata, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Patna, Itanagar, Imphal, Agartala, Silchar, Pasighat, Rupsi, and Tezu. In case of congestion, the Hindon Civil Terminal, which was built under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) plan, acts as the secondary base for aircraft in the National Capital Region. Despite being the first airline to start service on the Pithoragarh route in 2019, Heritage Aviation abruptly stopped its service.
