Dehradun News: Residents of Dehradun and Mussoorie felt a sense of relief from humidity after the city received light showers. Apart from Dehradun, people of Mussoorie also received light showers rain. According to the Met Department, the Monsoon will stay for a bit longer so the people can expect more rains in the coming days. The state received 8% less rainfall this time as compared to other states. Monsoon hit Uttarakhand with a delay of 5 days. Due to this there is a possibility that monsoon will stay for a longer time.

IMD- Monsoon will depart late this year

Usually Monsoon used to depart by 30th September, but this time it is likely to stay by the 1st week of October. Met department also predicted light rain in the hilly areas of uttarakhand. On the other hand, the temperature will be warm in the Doon and other plain areas. The maximum temperature of Doon was recorded above than the normal temperature. Pant Nagar recorded 34.6 degrees and Mukteshwar at 28.4 degrees.

Many Residents faced Water Logging due to Rains

As rains bring relief for the people suffering from the humidity and dry weather, there have been cases of water logging also reported in many parts of the city. Commuters had to wait for long in the signals due to rains.
