Dehradun News: Met Department has issued Yellow Alert in the city with Heavy Rains till the end of this week. The alert has been issued in districts like Pauri Garwal, Pithoragarh, Uttar Kashi, RudraPrayag, Chamoli and Dehradun. The Weather Department said there will be heavy rains in these districts for the whole week. Dehradun has been witnessing rains for the last few weeks because of which people were facing lots of difficulties in commuting from one place to another.

31 People died due to Heavy Rains

The Rains have also affected the Road on the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple near Dehradun. A part of the temple has been badly affected due to Heavy Downpour. Over 31 people have died due to heavy rains in the city of Uttarakhand due to land slides and floods. Many people have become homeless after heavy rain water has gone inside the low lying areas of the city. Many houses have also shattered because of the bad weather and land slides.

‘Primary Classes will be held online if Weather turns bad’

Schools of the city have been asked to be on stand bye if there is heavy downpour. The children of the Junior classes will have online classes depending on the condition of the weather. The students of class 5th to class 8th were asked to study online last month also when the city received heavy downpour.
