Dehradun News: The city will have all Pothole-free roads by November 30th of this year. The Additional chief secretary instructed all the officials of the PWD to fix all the roads by this deadline. Many commuters have been facing problems while moving with their vehicles on the road due to the potholes. Many roads were also damaged during the monsoon. Officials are also asked to work in coordination and in a planned way to fix all the roads by the given deadline.
Cross Road, Subhash Road have maximum Potholes
Officers were also asked to keep an eye out to ensure that the project was finished on time. People have been struggling with potholes since the rainy season. Areas like Subhash Road, Cross Road, and New Road have the maximum potholes. People passing through these areas have to pass through these potholes every day. The situation during the Monsoons was worse as these potholes were covered with water and were not visible during rains.
Many Residents raised the issue in the Past
Many Residents have been raising the issue of the potholes in front of the authorities but received no serious response. Every day lot of children and traffic pass through these roads which cause a threat to their lives.
