Dehradun News: As Rains continue to wreak havoc in the hilly areas for over a month now, a part of the famous Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple in the city has fallen due to the rains. Lots of disciples who come to offer prayers had to face lots of difficulties as the Main entrance of the temple was almost blocked with the trees. The city has been witnessing heavy rains and land slides due to which many people have lost their houses and were moved to safer areas by the rescue teams. Over 15 families in the Jakhan village have lost their houses during Monsoon.
NDRF Teams Providing Food and Clean Water in Relief Camps
The NDRF teams have been helping in the rescue operations and in moving the people to safer areas who have become homeless due to the bad weather. The rescue teams are also providing food and clean water to people in Relief Camps. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also did an aerial survey of the city and held a meet with the officials to discuss about the loss and sending relief material to the remote areas.
IMD predicts more rain warning for the coming Week
On the other hand, the IMD has issued more rain warning for the state for the next one week. Both Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have witnessed massive losses due to the rains and bad weather.
