Dehradun News: VC Banshidhar Tiwari carefully examined the accommodations supplied for the travellers. He expressed disappointment over ISBT’s situation and asserted that ISBT is not a village centre. Both domestic and international travellers visit here. Because of this, the preparations made here should likewise be of the highest calibre. He gave the officers the go-ahead to submit plans as soon as possible for carrying out ISBT renovations for smartness. He was joined primarily by MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Burnia, GM and SE HCS Rana, EE Sunil Kumar, and Horticulture Officer AR Joshi.
Renovations, Hi-Tech Facilities, and Connectivity to ISBT Mall
VC Banshidhar Tiwari stated during the inspection that the ISBT will first undergo renovations such as painting and other tasks. He claimed that the base’s shops will be demolished so that all of them would be seen at once. A chiller for RO water will be installed. He instructed the concerned personnel to pay particular attention to cleanliness in ISBT while checking the restrooms and waiting areas. The passengers should have access to all amenities here. He gave the Horticulture Officer instructions to plant trees and flowers to add greenery to the bus stop’s surrounds. For security purposes, the bus stand should have high-tech CCTV cameras installed. A free WiFi option should be included. He directed that apart from beautifying the ISBT, hi-tech facilities should be made available to the passengers. According to MDDA’s SE HCS Rana, who is overseeing the construction of ISBT’s GM, ISBT Mall will be connected to the bus stop so that customers can wander about the mall and other areas when buses are running late. There are currently no such accommodations available for the passengers to stay in the base. This will improve the mall’s revenue while also providing amenities for the patrons. Additionally, there will be air conditioning in the foot coat, or canteen. There will be digital information display boards placed with data pertaining to the bus tour.
A Hopeful Turnaround with Upcoming Renovations and Improvements
The bus stop was run by Ramki Company for 20 years. The corporation paid no attention to ISBT upkeep throughout those twenty years. The preparations here have totally fallen apart as of right now. There are no chairs for the passengers to sit on. The loo is in terrible shape. Nobody has the patience to wait for long. A faraway thing, paint. God also puts his reliance in cleanliness. A passenger cannot waste two minutes here doing anything. The state’s reputation was being damaged by ISBT’s struggle, but maybe things will turn around for the better now.

ISBT was inspected today to take stock of how better and modern facilities are being provided to the passengers. ISBT will be renovated. By providing all necessary facilities of high standard to the passengers, it will be developed in such a way that it becomes an example for other cities.
