Dehradun News: Government has decided to launch Hub and Spoke Model in 47 schools. With the help of this scheme, schools which are deprived of laboratories will have laboratories and students will be given Rs 3000 every year so that they can travel to the Government laboratory to study. Vocational Trainers will be given additional 6000 Rs every month. Currently Vocational Education is imparted in 200 schools in the state. The scheme will start in the state from this month.

Schools will have Vocational Trainers & Laboratories

According to the officials of the Education Department, these schools have Vocational Trainers as well as Vocational Educational Laboratories. Professional courses like Tourism, agriculture are also running in these schools. There are some schools which are at a distance of 5-7 kms away  and don’t have laboratories or Vocational Trainers can also benefit from the scheme.

Scheme approved by Central Govt

The scheme has been approved by the Central Government and soon the authorities will sign an MoU with the Service Provider. The move will promote Vocational Education in the state benefiting thousands of students who were earlier deprived of such facilities.
