Delhi News: For the New Year’s celebration in Delhi, a sizable throng is anticipated. Delhi Police has made significant preparations for both security and traffic in light of this. There will be road closures in certain areas, which could impact traffic. The traffic police have issued an appeal urging people to observe traffic laws and celebrate the New Year safely.
Festive Frenzy in Connaught Place
According to the police, Connaught Place is packed with revellers on New Year’s Eve. There will be some locations where traffic will be restricted in light of this. Sunday night at 8 p.m., cars will not be permitted inside Connaught Place. The only cars with the hotel entry pass will be allowed to enter this area.
Strategic Deployment Points
The following locations will see the deployment of police vehicles: Gol Chakkar Mandi House, Gol Chakkar Bengali Market, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Minto Road-Deendayal Upadhyay Marg crossing, Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk, RK Ashram Marg-Chitragupt Marg crossing, Gol Chakkar Gol Market, Gol Chakkar GPO, Patel Chowk, Kasturba Gandhi Road-Ferozeshah Road crossing, Jai Singh Road-Bangla Sahib Lane and roundabouts will not be permitted to proceed past Windsor Place
Kalibari Marg and Akashvani Zone
On Kalibari Marg, behind Akashvani and close to Patel Chowk, on Rakabganj Road behind Akashvani and close to Mandi House to Baroda House on Copper Nicks Marg, on DDU Marg close to Minto Road and Press Road, and in the vicinity of Gol Dak Khana. Place, RK Ashram Marg Parking on Babar Road will be available near Gol Chakkar Bengali Market, at the Copernicus Lane-Ferozeshah Road crossing along the route. This is close to Panchkuian Road, Chitragupt Road, Basant Road, Paharganj, KG.

Metro Exit Restrictions
There will be no exits from the Rajiv Chowk metro station in Secnot Place Circle after 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Anuj Dayal, the chief public relations officer for DMRC, claims that this choice was made in order to manage the crowd. Passengers taking the metro from Rajiv Chowk, however, may enter up until the last train.
C-Hexagon Pedestrian Zone
Vehicles won’t be allowed in C-Hexagon due to pedestrian traffic near India Gate. Automobiles will be halted at the following locations: Qpoint, MMNP, Sunehri Masjid, Maulana Azad Road-Janpath, Duty Path-Rafi Marg, Windsor Place, Rajendra Prasad Road-Janpath, KG Marg-Ferozeshah Road, Roundabout Mandi House, Wpoint, Mathura Road-Purana Qila Road, Mathura Road-Shershah Road, SBM-Zakir Hussain Marg, and SBM-Pandara Road.
