Delhi News: By traversing every station on the Delhi Metro system in 15 hours 22 minutes 49 seconds, a guy in Delhi has set a singular world record. Shashank Manu now holds a coveted spot in the Guinness World Records (GWR) for this incredible feat. Manu, a researcher who works for himself, travelled for the effort to break the record in April 2021. At five in the morning, he set out on his arduous journey along the blue line. Manu is a frequent Metro user, thus he carefully traversed the system’s complex network while navigating around various obstacles.
Shashank Manu’s World Record Acknowledged after a Delayed Official Confirmation
At 8:30 that evening, Mr Manu arrived at the Brigadier Hoshiar Singh station, which is located on the green line of the Delhi Metro. Despite finishing the effort more than two years ago, Manu just recently gained official acknowledgment from GWR as a result of a small misunderstanding. The honour was previously given to Prafull Singh, a metro revenue inspector, for covering all stations on August 29, 2021, in 16 hours and 2 minutes. The achievement had already been accomplished by Manu on April 14, exceeding Singh’s time with his remarkable record, it was subsequently discovered.
A Journey to Secure the Guinness World Record
Manu had to put in a lot of work in order to receive the prestigious award. He painstakingly took pictures at each metro station and collected autographs from people as proof of his presence, adhering to the exacting Guinness World Records criteria. Two additional impartial witnesses who attested to Manu’s extraordinary effort during the travel were also with him. “Hey @GWR look what just arrived, the certificate for my Guinness record of visiting all Delhi Metro stations in fastest time!” he said in a tweet posted in April. The Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line and the Rapid Metro in Gurugram are part of the 391 kilometer-long Delhi Metro network, which also includes 12 lines and 286 stops. The national capital’s highways are no longer under as much stress because to the extensive network. In December 2002, the DMRC unveiled its first corridor.
