Delhi: The police commissioner rewarded a senior Delhi Police officer for losing 46 kilograms in eight months. Jitendra Mani, Deputy Commissioner of Police Metro, weighed 130 kilograms and had a number of health issues. Diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol levels were among the ailments threatening the officer’s health.
The officer began to eat healthy
The officer decided to change his ways and drastically altered his way of life. He began by eating more healthily and walking 15,000 steps each day. He said, “I changed from a high-carbohydrate diet of rotis and rice to more nutrient-dense options like soups, salads, and fruits.”

Reduced chloesterol in just einght months
He lost 12 inches from his waist and reduced his cholesterol by a fifth in just eight months by adhering to a strict diet. “When I made the decision to change, I devised a plan to log 4.5 lakh steps each month. I’ve taken over 32 lakh steps in the last eight months,” said DCP Mani, who has gained 84 kilogrammes. At a ceremony attended by more than 90,000 police officers, Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora honoured him for his efforts by presenting him with a commendation certificate on behalf of the police force.The officer also expressed gratitude to his superiors and coworkers for their ongoing encouragement in keeping him motivated to continue his weight-loss efforts.
