Delhi-NCR News: In a move to bolster adherence to road and safety regulations on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, the traffic police have initiated stringent measures. Specially assigned teams will be stationed at key points along the expressway, focusing on preventing commercial vehicles from encroaching upon the first two right lanes, even during nighttime.
As outlined by News18, violations will incur a ₹500 fine initially, escalating to ₹1,500 for subsequent offenses. The enforcement encompasses the stretch from Kherki Daula toll to the Sirhaul border on both sides of the expressway. DCP (Traffic) Virender Vij, leading the initiative, has communicated with transporters, urging them to instruct drivers to comply with the designated lanes.
A meeting chaired by him with senior officials aimed at disseminating information about the new regulations and directing traffic inspectors to ensure effective implementation of lane discipline.
