Delhi News: Delhi Government Schools Closed for Ram Mandir Ceremony

Ghaziabad Schools

Delhi News: In a notable decision, the Delhi government has declared the closure of its schools on Monday in observance of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The move aims to allow students, teachers, and staff to participate in the celebrations associated with the consecration of the temple. However, evening schools will continue operating from 2:30 pm on the specified day. This decision aligns with the broader initiative to grant government employees a half-day leave to enable their attendance at the historic event.

Government Establishments Close for Ram Lalla Rituals

In a parallel directive, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, has approved a half-day closure for all government offices, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), autonomous bodies, undertakings, and boards. This measure is designed to facilitate the participation of government employees in the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals of Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The Delhi administration’s move resonates with similar decisions made by several other state governments, including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa.

Regional Governments Align to Observe Ram Mandir Event

In a broader regional context, states like Madhya Pradesh have not only declared a half-day holiday for government offices but have also extended the closure to schools on January 22, coinciding with the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. The synchronized efforts of various state governments underscore the collective importance placed on the Ram Mandir’s consecration, reflecting a united stance in recognizing the cultural and religious significance of the event.
