Delhi News: The first 8-lane elevated Dwarka Motorway in the nation, which is now being constructed in Delhi, will soon be finished. It has numerous unique qualities. It will be furnished with an Intelligent Transportation System. The country’s widest tunnel will be in that location. This will be the first eight-lane elevated motorway in the nation. It is being built with 2 lakh metric tonnes of steel, which is 30 times more steel than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This motorway is being built with two million cubic metres of concrete, which is six times as much as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Dwarka Motorway Nearing Completion
Nitin Gadkari, minister of roads and highways for the Union, announced that the Dwarka Motorway project is virtually finished. It will be made accessible to vehicles very shortly. There will be fewer automobiles entering Delhi from other states if this motorway is put into service. Delhi will be relieved of its congested traffic. A 23-kilometer stretch of the motorway is elevated in addition to this. It is being constructed 3.6 kilometres underground.
Impending Transformation of the 34-Meter-Wide Dwarka Motorway
The 34-meter-wide Dwarka Motorway is anticipated to cost more than Rs 9,000 crore. 18.9 km of this motorway are in Haryana, and 10.1 km are in Delhi, the nation’s capital. On pillars, it is being constructed. After it is put into service, traffic pressure on the NH-48 (Delhi-Gurugram Motorway) would lessen. Currently, there is a significant backup on this road all day long. Numerous people are having issues, and thousands of automobiles are still abandoned. On National Highway 48, the Dwarka expressway will begin at Shiv Murti and conclude at Kherki Daula Toll Plaza. This motorway has a flyover, tunnel, underpass, grade road, elevated road and four level road networks. On both sides of the motorway, a service road with three lanes in each direction is also being built. There will be intelligent transport system on the entire expressway. The longest, widest, eight-lane tunnel in the nation, measuring 3.6 kilometres, will be used by the Dwarka expressway. While 23 kilometres will continue to be lifted in other places. Because of this, West Delhi and Haryana will quickly become connected. There will be faster connectivity all the way to Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Gurugram segment of this motorway has a 99.3% completion rate. The airport and Sector-25 of Dwarka’s India International Convention Centre will be connected by this motorway. would intersect Farukhnagar (SH-15A) and Pataudi Road (SH-26) close to Harsaru and Harsaru, respectively. It will cross UER-2 at Bharthal and Sector 88B of Gurugram’s Delhi-Rewari train line. Sector-21 to Sector-88, Sector-83, Sector-84, Sector-99, Sector-113, and Dwarka to Global City would all be connected by Gurugram City.
Fully Automated System for Dwarka Motorway
The tolling mechanism for this motorway will be totally automated. In which, following distance calculation, toll tax will be instantly taken from bank accounts while automobiles are connected to GPS. It follows that only a portion of the toll is required. The amount of toll you must pay increases with the amount of travel. The Dwarka Motorway is being built with 2 lakh metric tonnes of steel, which is 30 times more steel than was used to build the Eiffel Tower, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. This motorway is being built with 2 million cubic metres of concrete, which is six times as much as was required to build the Burj Khalifa. For the first time in the country, 12,000 trees have been planted on an expressway. Let us remind you that the Eiffel Tower was constructed with 7,300 tonnes of steel. The Dwarka Motorway was built with enough steel to build 30 Eiffel Towers. Similar to this, the Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world, required 3,30,000 cubic metres of concrete to complete. The concrete being utilised for the Dwarka Motorway is sufficient to build six Birj Khalifas.
