Delhi News: The national capital Delhi experienced a number of train services disruptions as a result of fog. Due to the thick fog engulfing northern India, Indian Railways announced on Sunday that 23 trains would arrive in Delhi later than scheduled.
Sunday’s Chilled Awakening
On Sunday, the national capital and its surrounding areas were blanketed in a thick layer of fog and experienced yet another morning of frigid temperatures. The main weather station in the city, the Safdarjung Observatory, recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius.
Meteorological Insight
Visibility was limited in various areas of the city due to the thick fog that shrouded the city. The India Meteorological Department predicted that temperatures at the Safdarjung Observatory in the nation’s capital would range from 10 to 7 degrees Celsius during the first week of January 2024.
