In some sad news for all the commuters relying on the Uber Bikes and Taxi’s, the Supreme Court had put a hold on the Delhi High court order which had allowed the bike and taxi groups to run in the National capital. The court was listening to two petitions by the AAP Government which had challenged the may 26 order of the High Court stating not to take any necessary action against the bike and taxi groups until a final policy is discussed. Ola, Uber and Rapido were banned from operating in delhi in the month of February. They were also warned from not plying on the roads and if they were found violating the law, then they will be fined upto Rs one lakh.

Why Bike taxi services banned in Delhi?
The Government said that running taxis and bikes in the national capital without a proper commercial license would be considered a violation. The violation will result in a penalty of Rs 5000. More offences will lead to more fines like 10000 Rs. Delhi Transport Minister also twitted saying the aggregator Policy for two wheelers is almost in the final stage and will be out soon. We will then request everyone to apply for grant of license under the new scheme.
