Kejriwal: Reading could not be done during Covid
Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal said during a Media Briefing that people are burdened with huge bills because the officials were unable to take a Proper Reading during the Pandemic. This also resulted into a confusion in the Meter Reading since it was pending for many months. A lot of people received incorrect water bills due to this. This is why lakhs of users had not paid their bills for a long time.
Bills divided into two parts
The authorities have divided the bill into two parts – the first category will have the bills of those who have got 1st or 2nd readings correct and the second category will have users who have nil or one correct reading. The average readings will be considered for users who have got more than 2 readings correct. We have tried to take off all the high readings. We are trying to take the average of all the accurate readings. The CM also said that the issue of faulty meter readings needs to be stopped.
