Delhi News: Days after the data released by the Environment Ministry talks about the Improved Air Quality, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kjeriwal said that this has been the most difficult task.The Environment Ministry Data also mentions that the National capital has witnessed minimum number of days with ‘Poor to severe air quality’ during the first year as compared to the year 2016 and during Pandemic.
Kejriwal: Delhi has proved everyone wrong
The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted saying, this has been the most difficult task and this has only been possible with the help and efforts of the people of Delhi. The CM also added that Delhiites had proved them wrong of what other thought was impossible to do. For the last many years the National Capital has been fighting with the ‘Poor Air Quality’ and despite of making so many efforts it wasn’t improving.
‘Many schemes and ideas were introduced to work on the Air Quality’
The Delhi CM had come up with many schemes and ideas but nothing worked. Then the Odd-Even scheme was introduced in Delhi which helped in improving the quality of the air in the National Capital. People were advised to wear masks after stepping out of their houses, especially elderly people. Some of them were also asked to switch to Air Purifiers at homes.
