Delhi News: Traffic on flyover from Akshardham to Noida will face congestion due to repair work at Noida Gate. On Thursday, Delhi traffic police released the advisory regarding the traffic “traffic will remain heavy in the carriageway from Akshardham towards Noida (UP Link Road) for approx. 5 days due to ongoing repairing work of NOIDA Gate, Near Chilla Border. “
The police department has asked the commuters to plan their journey accordingly.
Rainfall adds to commuters woes
On Thursday morning, parts of Delhi-NCR received heavy rainfall which led to problem of waterlogging in many areas. Some commuters stated that it took them more than 2 hours to reach work. The meteorological department has predicted rainfall in the coming days as well.
As per IMD cloudy weather and spells of rainfall will dominate the course for a week in the region. The maximum temperature will range around 32-35 degrees Celsius.
A yellow alert had already been issued by the weather department on Tuesday.
Traffic disruption from Sainik Enclave towards Najafargarh
Traffic will also be restricted from “Anaj Mandi, Najafgarh towards Sainik Enclave,” for a period of 15 days because of the sewer work gong on in the area. The Delhi traffic police stated “Traffic is affected on Sardar Patel Marg in the carriageway from Dhaula Kuan flyover towards 11 Murti due to breakdown of a bus near Maurya Hotel. Kindly avoid the stretch.”
