Delhi News: : In order to ease off traffic around the Aerocity, Delhi International Airport Limited is planning to build 2 Flyovers to have smooth traffic around the area. The flyover will be around 800 meter long and will end near the Andaz Delhi Hotel. The second Flyover is called Parallel Access Road Flyover, it will have one end near the Hanuman Temple and the other end near Andaz Delhi. The 2 flyovers are likely to be completed by the end of the year. The construction of the two Flyovers is already underway.
Aerocity Flyover will have 4 Lanes
The Aerocity Flyover will have 4 lanes and the Parallel Access Flyover will have 2 lanes. The Flyover will also give an easy route to the passengers coming from the Airport from Vasant Kunj. The Passengers will be able to get less traffic around Aerocity Traffic Signal and will give commuters Signal Free route from Terminal one to Terminal Three.
Second Flyover will ease off Traffic around Terminal-2
Once the second Flyover Parallel Access Road is built, it will ease off the Traffic around Terminal-2 and the Cargo Terminal to NH-48. The Airport is likely to witness crowd on the G20 Summit, and the Airport is ready to handle as many passengers. Construction work on both the Flyovers began in June last year. Traffic Diversion also issued for the Commuters around Aerocity due to the construction work.
