The Delhi Police has summoned Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader Revanth Reddy for questioning on May 1 in connection with an edited video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah that has gone viral on social media.
Details of the Summons
The Ministry of Home Affairs and the BJP complained to the Delhi Police, which led to an FIR by the Special Cell. The FIR cites sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and provisions of the IT Act.
On Monday, the Delhi Police summoned Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for interrogation about the circulation of doctored footage of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media. The summons also requires the surrender of any electronic devices used by Reddy.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and the BJP filed a complaint accusing specific persons of spreading doctored films on social media. As per complaint, the video reportedly aim to promote anger among communities, potentially disrupting public peace and order.
