Dhirendra Shastri: The three-day spiritual saga of Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri at Bageshwar Dham commenced in Khurai, Sagar District on Wednesday. The event is being organized under the patronage of Madhya Pradesh Minister Bhupendra Singh in his constituency. This spiritual spectacle has not only transformed Khurai into a center of devotion but has also brought joy to the farming community through much-needed rain.
Dhirendra Shastri transforms Khurai to Annapurna Nagari
Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head priest of Bageshwar Dham, bestowed the name “Annapurna Nagari” upon the city of Khurai, renowned across the nation for its wheat and agricultural machinery production. Minister Bhupendra Singh, a devoted follower of the Dham, affectionately referred to him as their beloved devotee. It was only after the commencement of the spiritual event that the rains finally blessed the parched fields, bringing smiles to the faces of the local farmers.
The event was meticulously organized to ensure the comfort of the attendees. Three waterproof pandals, covering an area of 700 by 100 square feet, were set up with plush carpeting for the participants. Remarkably, even with the rains, attendees faced no inconvenience, as Mother Nature created a harmonious atmosphere for the listeners.
Minister Bhupendra Singh and Saroj Singh, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, performed the arati (a religious ritual) at the Vyaspith (spiritual podium) and sought the blessings of Bageshwar Dham’s deities.

Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri emphasized that true beauty lies not in physical appearance but in one’s character. He encouraged people to live with humility rather than arrogance, as pride leads to downfall, much like the fall of Ravana. He reminded everyone that Lord Hanuman, by dedicating his principles to Lord Rama, exemplified how to perform great tasks while remaining humble.
